Motorcycle Driving Course A1
The course is designed to prepare you for the Module One and Module two tests. The course includes hill starts and angle starts from cars parked and also basic road skills such as controlled stopping and emergency response.
The IME course will help you understand the fundamentals of riding a motorbike, and help you develop mental strategies that are safe. It can also help you earn discounts on your insurance premiums.
Theory
The course includes all the theoretical preparation you require to pass the test. It includes online lessons as well as eas theory study material that you can work on independently. After enrolling in our system, you will receive instructions on how you can participate in these classes remotely in the virtual classroom (in Finnish). You can then choose the best schedule for your needs.
In this course you will be taught the basics of motorcycling from your instructor. You will learn about safety tips and traffic rules as well as some of the more complex components of the vehicle. In addition to the mandatory knowledge for all categories of licence, you will also be familiarised with the special requirements of your chosen category.
The eas theory module included in the course package will prepare you for your motorcycle driving licence the test of theory. This is an essential component of your education and will allow you to pass the test successfully. The test is a theory one. It consists of a written exam with 40 questions and 2 clips on the perception of hazards. You must complete at least 28 of the 40 questions correctly in order to pass the test.
In the majority of cases, your eas test will be taken one month prior to when you meet the age requirement for the category of licence you are training for. The test should be taken with an approved DVSA tester. If you fail your test on the first try then you have to wait at least 2 weeks before being allowed to take it again.
If you have not passed your theory test prior to the date you start your eas practical training, we'll ask you to pay any balance in your course that is outstanding in order to prevent depriving another student of their scheduled place on this training course. If you are unable to pass the test by the date specified in your training schedule then we will not be able to schedule any DVSA test for you as a resit. In this case, you will be required to pay the appropriate fee for resit at time of making the reservation.
Practical
In addition to the theory class and driving lessons, motorcycle driving courses also include a number of practical classes. These are the most important elements of your learning process and can be spread out over several weeks or months, based on your needs. You will need your own bike for this part of the course. It is essential to select a motorcycle that is easy for you to control but not too speedy or heavy. A good place to start is with the 50cc motorbike or scooter.
The practical test is the next stage after you have completed your theoretical training. The practical test is divided into Module 1 and Module 2 The first part of Module 1 is an hour-long road ride. The second section is an individual riding section lasting 10 minutes. You will need to pass both sections in order to get your licence.
To prepare for your motorcycle test for module 2, you should practice basic maneuvers like the figure 8, slalom, and emergency stop. These skills will allow you to better understand what the examiner is looking for. It is also important to ensure that your bike is in excellent condition and that you are wearing all the gear you need including a helmet, gloves, and jacket. You should also wear comfortable footwear, and ensure that you have your driving licence with you.
It is important to note that the pass certificate for a motorbike driver's license is valid only for two years. If you fail the test within this time, you will need to take the theory course again.
If you're looking to upgrade to a different category of vehicle you'll need to complete Module 5. This is the progress portion of the course, that allows you to upgrade your license without needing to go through the entire IBT program again. It is essential to complete this course with the type of motorcycle you intend to use, and the course must be approved by your instructor.
You'll need a motorcycle that is road-legal (taxed and insured, along with an active MoT when it's more than three years old) that has full-sized L-plates front and rear and equipped with mirrors. You'll also have to ensure that the bike is appropriate for the test you're taking, and that you have a helmet and clothing suitable for the weather.
The Assessment
Before you start training for the A1 motorcycle license you must have completed Initial Basic Training (IBT). This is an eight hour course that teaches the necessary skills necessary for safe driving. This course is part of the RSA's Graduated Driver Licensing Scheme, which helps improve the safety of roads. Once you've completed IBT the instructor will provide feedback and make a recommendation on whether you're ready for the next stage of training or not.
After you've passed the IBT Your instructor will prepare you for the A1 practical test. This test will be divided into two sections. You must pass both to be able to get your license. Module 1 is off-road manoeuvres like controlled stops, a slalom or around cones. Module 2 is on-road and requires you to follow a specific route with varied traffic conditions.
The Module 1 test lasts for 20 minutes and examines your ability to execute off-road maneuvers, such as slow rides or a figure eight. You'll be asked to make an U turn and an emergency stop.
After passing the module 1 & 2 tests, you will be able to ride a motorbike up to 35kW. This is the first step to having a full A-license. it will permit you to ride either manual or automatic scooters or motorbikes.
It's important to remember that your A1 licence will only be valid for two years. After that, you'll need to upgrade to the A2 licence, which will give you more freedom on the roads.
A1 courses consist of both practical and theory classes. The amount of instruction in the hands depends on how much you've had experience on a bike, and the number of classes offered will differ from school to school. It is advisable to enroll in an A1 course as soon as you can, so that you can book your practical and theory tests simultaneously. You'll also need the necessary equipment, like a helmet and glove. Some driving schools offer the option of loaning equipment for those who don't have the equipment required.
Licensing
The first step toward obtaining getting a motorcycle license is the Compulsory Basic Training (CBT). Once successfully passed this test, you can legally ride and a bike that has an maximum power of 35 kW. It can be anything from a moped to a small motorbike.
CBT is a combination of theory and practical training. It teaches you to understand and follow the rules and regulations you must obey on the road. The course is 12 hours long and is broken down into three sections of four hours each. You must complete each module before you are able to take the driving test required for obtaining your category A1 licence. You must also be at least 18 years old in order to pass the course.
To pass the test, you must score at least 25 points. You must complete all ten questions correctly to pass the test, and there are no re-takes. The test is 45 minutes long and can be taken at any TUV or Dekra branch of your choosing.
The practical course is a total of twelve hours and is split into three sections of 4 hours each. You must be 18 years old in order to complete the practical course and to be able to ride an automobile of any size, ranging from a 50cc moped to the largest motorcycle that has a maximum power of 35 kW. You must also demonstrate your ability to control and handle the vehicle in a variety of situations, including overtaking turning left or right and changing lanes.
After you have completed your practical and theory lessons, you'll be able to take the driving test for your category A1 license.
